This guide walks you through every step from creating your account to having your first active Recommendationship. It takes most people less than fifteen minutes to complete the first four steps.
Go to recommendii.com and click Join in the top navigation. On the join page, choose I want to be a RECOMMENDer.
Fill in your name, email address, and a password. You will receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to confirm your account. Then log in.
After logging in you will land on your Dashboard. Click Set Up My RECOMMENDer Profile.
Your profile is what clients and businesses will see when they look you up. Fill in:
When you are happy with your profile click Save Profile. Your public RECOMMENDer profile is now live at recommendii.com.
From your Dashboard click Manage My RECOMMENDer Profile. This takes you to your My Recommendationships page.
Click the Find tab. This is your search tool for finding businesses on RECOMMENDii. Type a business name or choose a category and location to browse.
When you find a business you genuinely believe in and want to recommend, click View to see their full profile. When you are ready, click Send Request.
If the business you want to recommend is not on RECOMMENDii yet, you can invite them directly. Ask them to create a listing at recommendii.com/join and look for your request once they are set up.
After you send a request the business will receive a notification. You can track the status of your request in the Requests tab on your My Recommendationships page.
When the business accepts your request you will receive an email notification. The Recommendationship will then move to Pending Payment status. The business needs to complete payment to activate it.
Once the business pays the activation fee your Recommendationship becomes Active. You will see it appear in the Active tab of your My Recommendationships page.
From this point you begin earning your share of the flat monthly fee the business pays. Your earnings depend on your tier:
From your Dashboard click Manage My RECOMMENDer Profile. Scroll down to find the Print QR Card option. This generates a printable card with a QR code that links directly to your public RECOMMENDer profile.
Place your QR card at your workstation, your reception desk, or anywhere your clients spend time. When a client scans the code they can see every business you recommend and go directly to any of them.
Your My Recommendationships page has several tabs to help you manage everything:
On each active Recommendationship card you will find an Actions button. Click it to suspend or end a Recommendationship. You will also see LinkedIn, Facebook, and WhatsApp share icons when a share card has been generated for that Recommendationship.
Your public RECOMMENDer profile tracks how many people visit it and where they come from. To see your analytics go to your Dashboard and click Manage My RECOMMENDer Profile. Your profile view data is shown at the top of the page.
Individual business analytics including how many people clicked through from your profile to a specific business are visible on the business profile itself for businesses that have an active Recommendationship with you.
The platform works best when your clients know it exists. Put your QR card somewhere visible. Mention it naturally when a client asks you for a recommendation. Let them scan it while they wait.
You do not need to change how you talk to clients. You just need to make sure the recommendations you were already giving have somewhere to point.
